Half Term Is Over

So there it is, half term is officially over for us. In a way I am glad to get back into routine and a bit of normality but then on the other hand I am a bit upset that Mia will be in school 9am-3pm and Elliw will be in playgroup every single day 9am - 11am. I guess it's a well deserved morning break for me even though I will be either doing blog work or house work (on some days just sitting down doing nothing though!)

I look back and I wish I would have done a few more things with the girls but it's quite hard when i'm pretty much skint or not feeling too well. I did try and make the most of the 2nd week though, because the weather was gorgeous. On the Thursday it was nice but I was in the *cleaning* mood so I decided to spring clean the kitchen which took a total of 3 hours but it's done now finally. On Friday it was much colder outside so we decided to stay in and I caught up on a lot of blog work but the girls did go outside to play in the back garden so at least they had some fresh air.

There was a lot of tantrums, tears and arguments throughout the two weeks! What can you expect from a 3 year old who wants everything that second and a 5 year old who answers back like 15 year old. Lucky enough I only remember the good times and I forget the bad times quite easily. Most of the tantrums was because Elliw wanted chocolate as she did not understand that she was not allowed chocolate for breakfast, lunch, tea and between meal times!

Me and Elliw had a lovely chance to take my nephew for a walk to the park. It was really nice and we were lucky that the weather was just right. In the holidays I try my best to spend as much time with the family as I can. It was really nice to see my Dad more often but I could not see my Nain and Taid as they were away in England for 2 weeks with my aunty! They had a lovely time though!

Most of all, the girls had a fantastic Easter and Mia had even more eggs from her Dad's family which she loved. She spend Easter weekend there and she really enjoyed it and she was lucky enough to go for a day out in Gulliver's World with her dad, his partner and their daughter (Mia's other sister).

No more lie-in's anymore! Wake up call at 7 - 7.30am every single day from now on, stress getting ready in the mornings and school-runs! I am so looking forward to it *sarcasm*.

This is some of what we did Half Term -

  2. It looks like you had a lovely Easter- I just realised your girls must have a really similar age gap to mine (mine are 4 and 2- there's 26 months between them) so I shall read your blog and watch their relationship even more now. ;) Chocolate for breakfast is what both of mine would want. ;) x

  3. Aww it sounds like you had a wonderful Easter and a great holiday - my two girls were tucking into chocolate on Easter Sunday breakfast and I suspect they'd want it morning noon and night too - it's good to know we're not alone!
