A MORNING OF GARDENING

Saturday night the girls decided they didn't want to go to sleep. I told them, if they went to sleep then they can do some gardening outside with me in the morning. They went straight to sleep. Before we bought our first home, the garden was full of plants, trees and bushes. The previous owners loved gardening. I think they would have a fit if they saw the garden now. We have completely gutted it. We are hoping that the garden will be finished by the end of the year.

It was Sunday morning. The girls were excited. I was even excited! I had never really done gardening before, well I have but not planting! We were give 70 mystery bulbs from Spalding Bulbs. On Saturday, I went to buy some big plant pots and some accessories for the girls' little garden area. In total it only cost me around £12 - £15, which really isn't bad considering we were going to have a lot of fun!

The 70 mystery bulbs contains flowers and vegetables! We're all really excited to see what will grow. Elliw didn't understand much, she kept throwing loads of bulbs in together but Mia was careful and really enjoyed planting. When I gave them a watering can each, Elliw thought it was a great idea to just pour the water in one place! We had a fun time gardening and planting our mystery bulbs! It's just a waiting game now!

I will keep you all updated. So look out for future posts!

  2. Ah that's lovely! I bet they will so proud of their garden once it starts growing. We've recently planted strawberries, carrots and sunflowers. They are coming up now and Harry needs to 'check on them' most days! :) x #ordinarymoments

  4. Aww such cute photos and they look so excited to be helping out. I am a terrible gardener and it's on our list this Summer to sort it out once and for all. Will look forward to seeing how you get on with yours! x

  5. Aw, that's so lovely! I can't wait to be able to do things like that with my little guy, he's a bit young at the moment at 16 months. IT'll also help me to get into gardening a bit, it seems quite stress-relieving. #mummymonday
