Playroom Tour | Wooden Toy Shack Review

Early next year I am hoping that the front room, which is now the playroom, will be a separate spare room for us and not full of toys. This is when I get around to finishing the girls bedroom and my office off. But at the moment I am forever tidying and cleaning up the front room - which can be stressful at time. I mean - I tidy it up then in the next half hour the girls have emptied a few boxes again. A few days before I took these photos you would have been shocked. Elliw literally emptied over 5-6 boxes. The whole room floor was full of toys, big and small! Elliw even started to play in the hall way instead, that is when I decided I needed to face up to the mess and sort it all out... and so I did. Which is good I guess since it's nearly Christmas.

I have tried to do their playroom in parts such as a small reading corner, arts corner, TV corner, dolls corner and kitchen corner. I have sorted out and separated all toys in the correct boxes so they are easier to find and I will soon be putting labels on since Mia has started to read, so hopefully that will help too. I have been looking for a toy box for a long time. I have always ended up buying plastic and canvas boxes but have always loved wooden toy boxes.

I was sent a wooden toy box from Wooden Toy Shack a few weeks ago. It has taken me a while to build because so much has been happening in the house lately. But I finally did it and it looks perfect in the playroom. Eventually it will be up in the girls bedroom and the colours will look brill in their monochrome/rainbow themed bedroom. It took me about half an hour to build the box but that was with some interruptions (phone calls) too. Elliw was overly excited, she helped me build it too!

Wooden Toy Shack has many choices of brilliant wooden toys for children. Wooden toys have always been my favourite. They last longer and they are much better quality for the price. They sell a variety of toys from wooden dolls houses, wooden train sets, wooden kitchen, educational wooden toys and much more. Delivery starts from £3.49 and 30 days free returns.

You can head over to their website to purchase their wooden toy box here and you can visit their social media here:

* I was given the toy box free of charge, in return of an honest review. All words and opinions are my own, as always.

  1. The wooden box looks so pretty. I had one when I was a child and I remember how exciting it was for me to open it and get all my toys out. It's very useful to keep everything tidy too.
