Choosing A Name For Baby #3

We only have 23 weeks left (or less) until we get to meet our baby son. With Mia I had already named her before the gender scan but with Elliw it took a little longer. The other names we had for Elliw was, Cadi and Cara. But I had a feeling that in the end my partner would change his mind and end up liking the name Elliw.

With Baby Boy, we are finding it so hard. We have agreed on 4 names so far, but I won't be telling anyone and everyone will find out the day I announce his birth. I can not wait! It doesn't seem long now and it's getting me really paranoid as I am struggling with a name so much. Even with the 4 names we love so far, I am still looking around for other names but I am not loving hardly any boys names out there.

I have had a look at many website and have searched for 'Top Baby Boy' names throughout the past years. There are many websites online that give you ideas for baby boy and baby girl names. For instance, here is a top 10 list of Top Baby Boy Names in 2015 by BabyCentre.

The names we have chosen is going to be very different from Mia and Elliw. It's not going to be welsh and it will be quite old fashioned, especially with the middle names we have chosen. I have decided to keep the first and second/third names hush until baby arrives. I do think that every name we have chosen, won't be everybody's taste but he is our baby and we love every single name on our list so far. I can't wait until we have properly decided on a name and let you all know.

Here is another list of most popular boys names in 2015 from The Independent

  1. We had such a struggle to choose a boy's name - my husband and I each had one that we liked (both different) but couldn't agree. Fortunately we ended up having and girl! Exciting to have yours chosen.

  3. I have about 50 names that I want to name my kids, so I think deciding on just one is going to be the struggle.

  4. We struggled both times with boys names. If we were to have another boy, we would be seriously stuck for names! Boys names are so much harder than girls!

  5. My husband and I could not agree on our children's names until we were due to register them! It's always a fun and exciting exercise but not when you both can't agree! Have fun choosing! #MarvMondaya

  8. I would always avoid the top 10 names, coming up with something more original and less common has to be a good idea - less changes of getting coats and bags mixed up at primary school for a start :)

  11. None of our names are traditional and each time we had a baby everyone would wait to see what this one would be, but I love all of my seven children's names and whatever you choose to call your little man is entirely up to you, can't wait to find out what it is, and boys names are definitely harder than girls to choose xx

  12. We only had one name picked before any scans and luckily it was a girls name! I think we would have really struggled with a boys name as my husband and I like different names! We didn't tell anyone but very close family until our daughter arrived what her names were going to be!

  13. Sometimes when you meet your new arrival , one of the names will match his personality more than the others so just wait and see.

  14. we had so much trouble deciding on a baby name because both of our family's are predominantly boys it has meant that most of the names are taken :p we loved our final choice though and we waited until he was born to agree that he looked like it and he did! good luck!

  16. We found it easy choosing a boys name if our Daughter had been a boy she would have been called Jack James, we had loads of trouble choosing a girls name, we could not agree on any names

  17. We found boys names so difficult, so typically we found out we were expecting a boy!! Thankfully we agreed on one that we loved but it was the only option so if there's a little man in my tummy this time round, we're really going to struggle. I really love old-fashioned names, can't wait to se what you're going to call him! Thanks for linking up to #MarvMondays. Kaye xo

  19. I can't wait to see what name you decide on. We had a list of a few names for each of our kids before me made our decision.

  20. With Aria we didn't know what we were having so tried coming up with both a girls and a boys name. We struggled so hard to agree on a boys name, we were so relieved when she came out a girl!
Good on you for keeping it quiet, it is horrible when telling people the name and they reply that it is horrible!

  21. It's always such a big responsibility picking a name. I knew Emily was a Emily before I even got told she was a girl. I told my partner I wasn't and didn't need to pick a boys name,

  22. It's tricky deciding what name to pick - I think children seem to grow into their names - but I'd have been panicking that the name would be on a soap or something similar. I have enough trouble picking names for pets :-)

  23. I had names for all mine apart from Sebastian - I had wanted Teddy after my grandad but Hubby vetoed it straight away. I find boys names harder to choose than girls

  24. Good to keep it hush hush until the birth. I did the same with my kids.

  27. Although the time isn't here yet my husband & I always talk about names we like. Such a great responsibility to name someone!

  28. Boys names are so much more difficult than girls names! We had our first chosen before I was pregnant and second boy was much harder, took ages to choose a name (and convince the hubby who disliked all boys names we could think of). If we ever had a third boy I have no idea what we would choose! :) x

  29. Choosing a new baby's name is such a personal thing. I think you are right to keep it to yourself. People seem to think it's OK to have an opinion on the names you choose. I only ever talk suggestions with people, sometimes the reaction can be helpful

  30. How exciting for you! I hope you find a perfect name easily :)

  31. I found naming my two sons so much harder than naming my daughters. The names I chose were perfect - short, not too uncommon and not too common! Good luck! Kaz x

  32. We had Jack's name picked out straight away for if he was a boy but couldn't agree for a girls name - luckily we didn't have to choose! Can't wait to see the name you've decided on once little man is here x

  33. When we found out that we were expecting twins, it was twice as hard to choose! The first girl was easy enough, but getting one that matched/suited the second was really tricky. Ended up with Alexa Rae and Caragh Jane!

  34. I have no children but their names are already decided x

  35. It's such a big decision isn't it! I think we settled on Tyler's name quite late on in my pregnancy, but it just sounded right. I think once you find it, you know :-)

  36. We are struggling with a boys name too, although have a shortlist of 10 theres probably only one or two that we would actually use. Only have 10 weeks left and at this rate we will decide at the birth!! Good luck :) xx #marvelousmondays
