Antipodes Merino Sleeping Bag Review and Giveaway

When I was pregnant with Freddie, I knew I was going to put him into sleeping bags to sleep in during the night. I always found it quite a pain with which tog to put him in, in case he got too cold or too hot. Both girls slept in a sleeping bag too, I find them a lot safer than blankets. Freddie does have a favourite blanket, but I tend to put it near the end of his crib so it can't get to his face during the night.

We received the Antipodes Merino Sleeping Bag to review and from the moment I opened the parcel I was pleased with it. The sleeping bag is light and soft, but because of the merino wool and fibres, the sleeping bag is perfect for winter and summer. During the cold weather, the merino wool traps air between the fibres, and it creates a pocket of warm insulating air. During the summer and warm weather, the same fibres naturally wick away sweat and moisture and expel the heat. This is great for keeping the right temperature for our little ones while they sleep.

Antipodes Merino Sleeping Bag is suitable from 3 months up to 2 years old. There are under arm fasteners to adjust to fit your baby. The sleeping bag also has a seat belt slot which is perfect for transferring baby from crib to car seat or pram.

Antipodes Merino is originally sold in the US. However, they have just started selling on Amazon in the UK for just £64.99 which you can find here.

Overall I am very pleased with the sleeping bag by Antipodes Merino. The material is really soft and light. I love how it is suitable for winter and summer, as well that he can grow with it. The price may be quite expensive, but as it is suitable from 3 months up to two years old, the price is very reasonable. You would probably spend a lot more money if you bought other sleeping bags as you would have to buy different sizes as they grow and different togs for different seasons. This sleeping bag grows with your baby and keeps your baby at the right temperature throughout the year.

Here's some information in short;

  2. Your photos are absolutely breathtaking! I never heard about sleeping bags for babies! They look so comfy and practical! In Portugal people tend to use blankets and wrap the baby in a burrito. Sometimes I wonder, if the burrito is too tight... The sleeping bag looks better at least it allows movement!
