Strawberries, Beds and Vlogging

This weekend has been absolutely beautiful. The weather has been perfect, and it was so unexpected. Mind you, I didn't check the forecast so it could have been expected, but after all the rain we had last week I wasn't expecting the sun to remake an appearance anytime soon. Thursday was kind of unexpected, Mia came home early from school as she threw up lunch time. She is hardly ever ill, she's got such a strong immune system. It was so sad seeing her ill and so pale. She lay on the sofa for the rest of the day watching film and Friday was the same. Elliw had a school trip to Aberystwyth on the Friday which she absolutely loved. It was really handy she went that day too as I didn't have to drag Mia out on a school run while she was unwell as Elliw didn't arrive back home until 6pm which meant my partner could pick her up.

To begin with, Mia wanted to stay home for the weekend, but she changed her mind and decided to go to her Dad's for the night on Saturday. I woke up in an awful mood Saturday morning because Freddie had a bad night sleeping. He's gone back to being a terrible sleeper again, I'm hoping that will change very soon. I decided to just go into the shower and hoped it would brighten up my mood, and it did. We went straight out afterward and had no idea where we were going. We just drove around towards Anglesey and saw a 'Pick Your Own Strawberries' Farm. We drove past as we missed the entrance and planned to go there on our way back after lunch. We went to a pub restaurant for food and then headed back to the strawberry farm. Elliw was so excited. It was a real shame that Mia wasn't there with us, but we have promised her that we're going to take her in a couple of weeks, we can't wait.

I have always wanted to go strawberry picking, and I had no idea there was one so close by. We had so much fun, and Elliw absolutely loved picking her own strawberries and putting them into her little plastic basket. It was a little expensive, but it was worth it seeing the smiles from Elliw. I really recommend going strawberry picking if you've never been. We can't wait to go there again. After we had finished we decided to visit my grandparents, but only my Nain was in. We stayed for a couple of hours, and it was nice to have a catch up. We went home afterward and just chilled for the night, but I worked too. We came back much later than we thought, but it was a really lovely day.

The Dubatti Stroller is absolutely perfect to push on uneven ground.

On Sunday we went bed hunting to Llandudno. We have been needing a bed for very long time now and have decided to go for a super king size, and I can't wait. We've seen about three or four mattresses we like and a stunning wooden bed frame. But it's all now down to choosing which mattress we want as they're so expensive. Who knew mattresses were so damn expensive? The prices are unreal. However, we are pretty desperate for a new one seeing as our bed frame will break any day and the mattress is just so uncomfortable.

After a few hours of shopping around for quotes of the beds we liked, we took Elliw to a toy shop to choose a toy as she behaved really well. I was really pleased how well she behaved and listened. We had a quick picnic in the car. We had planned to go for a picnic somewhere else, but we spent longer looking for beds than we thought. After lunch, we went to the next retail park which had the brand new Primark. I was super excited, I was cheering away like a little kid the night before Christmas. After buying a few bits, I was quite disappointed. I think I must have gone on a day with very low stock. But the store was way too small for me. Primark to me is a huge store, but that just wasn't. But I got a few decent things, so I shouldn't complain.

We had a really lovely weekend. I'm so glad I filmed it all. One of my challenges this month is to vlog every single day through the month. I have decided that it will be daily vlogs during weekdays and possibly just a weekend vlog over the weekend as I don't want to commit myself to so much work over the weekend. I am hoping this will bring my confidence back with vlogging and I am rather excited to get used to it all over again. I also have a few pre-recorded vlogs I need to upload too.

* We are working with Dubatti throughout the year. However, all words and opinions are entierly our own.

My 4th baba is a terrible sleeper, but I keep telling myself it's just a phase :) Lots of lovely photos of your strawberry picking mission. We've not been to a PYO this year! Hahaha, you must have had some funny looks filming in the bed shop!!

  9. Hi Beth, I remember going to pick our own strawberries as a child, Dad did grow some, but never enough! The raised strawberry 'beds' are less back breaking and those hanging strawberries wouldn't stand a chance! I hope Freddie starts sleeping better soon, there's nothing worse than facing the day feeling tired.

    Your photos are really lovely.

Thank you for linking up with the #MMBC
