A/W17 NAIL TRENDS

Bring a Mum is hard work. Trying to get time to yourself is even harder. So having a treat such as getting your nails done is a rare but lovely occasion. It's a time to relax and feel good about yourself. As a Mum of 3, I struggle to get that time to myself, either because I'm working, having no money or just rarely get the time to go. I do struggle to keep on top any trend, clothing trends, hair and nails. But in the past few months, I've stepped up and started to think about myself more. It makes me a happier person when I try and put myself first (after the kids of course) and treat myself once in a while. I'm planning to get my nails and hair done in a few weeks time ready for our little getaway for Mia's birthday in December.

A good friend of mine owns her own salon and so getting my nails done is a lovely treat for myself as I get to have a catch up with a friend at the same time. My favourite colours for nails are grey and bold bright colours. I do like my neutral colours too such as soft pinks and such. But bold and bright colours are what I prefer. The last time I got my nails done I decided to go for two shades of grey and I found it went with everything I wore and perfect for all occasions too. Ellisons is a hair, nail and beauty wholesalers that supply to professionals only. They have shared some of the on-trend nails for this upcoming season;

NEUTRAL COLOURS
Any colours from the greys, soft pinks to khaki, they're right on trend this season. Grey is one of my favourite colours and the last time I got my nails done professionally was two grey shades, and I fell in love with them. Neutral colours are perfect for day-to-day and even occasion wear if you're going out for the night with friends, work or your partner.

GINGHAM/CHECKS
Gingham is really popular with clothing this season, so why not get it on your nails too? This has been really popular and on trend for your nails for this season. I personally quite like it on nails, but not so much on clothing. Again, perfect for daytime wear and occasions, but I do think it's more of a casual trend.

GOLD
From glittery gold to metallic gold, it's is perfect this season. Christmas is coming up, and gold is the ideal colour, whether it's a hint of glitter or the straight metallic gold. It's a great addition to your style this year for your Christmas parties and occasions.

What are your favourite Nail shades this season?
