BAKER DAYS REVIEW

I was super excited when I received the Letterbox Cake by Baker Days the other week. I couldn’t wait for Wednesday evening after weigh-in at my local Slimming World group, to make myself a hot panad (cup of tea) and relax with a slice of cake. It really was the highlight of my day. Trying to entertain a toddler all day long and working your job around the kids, school runs and housework, it’s hard. I do admit that I love the evenings where I can just relax. Even better with a slice of cake- which I never do. So, this was a rare occasion.

We were kindly sent a Letterbox Cake by Baker Days to review, and I chose the vanilla flavouring, but there was a chocolate cake as the other choice too. I decided to personalise it by choosing a photo of us all. I was a little disappointed at the quality of the print that was on the icing, but it could have just been my photo editing too- I’m not sure. However, that didn’t put me off to ordering in future. The cake was delicious and perfect for one or two persons (maybe three or four if you want small slices). My partner and I really enjoyed it that evening.

The letterbox cake is a perfect gift for anyone you know who lives a distance away. Whether it’s a special occasion or just a nice surprise. There is no worry of wondering if they are going to be home to answer the door for the delivery as it fits straight through the letterbox and is perfectly packaged, so it doesn’t get damaged while on delivery or through the letterbox. The cake is packed in a stylish tin, we had a black, yellow and white tin, filled with some party bits- balloons, candles and party toy whistles.

Not only do Baker Days make Letterbox Cakes, but they also make larger cakes and cupcakes too. You could also add a personalised balloon with your order. Prices start from £14.99 which I think is a reasonable price for what it is.

Have you ever received a letterbox Baker Days cake?

* We were given this product free of charge in return for an honest review.
