GETAWAY TO LIVERPOOL WITH MY GIRLS AND SISTER

If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you may know that my partner went away to New Zealand with his friend for just over three weeks. When I found out that they were planning to go and when they booked, I instantly went into some kind of panic mode. The first week that he was going away was over the half term holidays. I felt like I needed to plan something for the kids to do and me and for something to pass the time too. That's when I decided to plan a day and night away in Liverpool.

If you follow my blog, then you will know that Liverpool is one of my favourite cities, ever. I honestly think I would move there in a minute if someone offered. However, at the moment, I really love visiting the city when I can. We visited a few times last year and each time we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I have been going every year for the past 5-6 years.

This time I decided to go with Mia, Elliw and my sister, Elize. It was the first time ever that I took my sister away somewhere for the night. So I was really excited to have a huge catch up and spend some time together, and so the girls could spend time with their Aunty too. We all went down to Liverpool by train, which the girls loved.

We stayed at a Travelodge which was in the most perfect place, and I will sure be booking again soon for my partner and me. It was stunning, and the views were just beautiful. When we arrived, I paid for early check-in so we could drop out suitcase and bags off as I didn't fancy carrying it around. Afterwards, we went for lunch, did some shopping then headed back to the hotel with some Krispy Kremes. I have wanted to try Krispy Kremes out for months, I'm so glad I did - they were amazing.

After chilling in the hotel for a bit, we decided to go out for a walk on the front of the Albert Dock, and I can't even explain how stunning it was. It was dark, but not too dark. The lights were on, and the ferries were on the front. It was just amazing. Both girls absolutely loved running around and playing about. They have always loved a walk where they can explore things at the same time. It also gave my sister and me some time to talk too. We went for food and then headed back to the hotel for the night.

The following day was quite unexpected. We got woken up by the fire alarms at 6.45am. We were on the 7th floor, and when I popped my head out the door and seeing people leaving their rooms, I got into a panic. I was the adult of three kids, on my own. We eventually got out of the hotel, and after 10 minutes or so, we were allowed back in again as it was just a false alarm. Thankfully.

After that, we decided to start the day early. We got ourselves ready and packed our bags, so we didn't have to do it later on. We went out for some breakfast, and after checking out at 12pm, we went for a walk on the Albert Dock again and had an ice cream - which was delicious. The train home was at 1.30pm, and I couldn't wait to see Freddie. He slept in his grandparent's house as I thought it would be easier and a nice change for me to spend some time with the girls on my own.

We had such an amazing time, and I can't wait to visit Liverpool again.
