How To Tell Your Parents You Are Expecting.

I was 16 years old when I fell pregnant first time so telling my Dad was really scary. I knew he was going to be disappointed and angry. I was young, very young! But I think telling your parents you are pregnant is scary, for any age. If I was to ever fall pregnant again there are a few ways I would like to tell my Dad, Grandparents and my partners parents about the exciting news.

A CARD
If it's close to an occasion such as Mothers Day, Fathers Day or even a birthday I would write inside the card that they are going to be grandparents again! It's simple, affordable and something they can keep too!

A VIDEO
I'm not sure if I would actually do this if I ever was to fall pregnant again but I have seen a few videos of people announcing their pregnancy through video. It's a sweet idea and yet again affordable/free.

PHOTOSHOOT
There are many ways you can announce a pregnancy through photos. You can do it at home or you can book a photographer. One idea could be one of these {how adorable} -

There are many ways you can announce a pregnancy. Many do it via Social Media these days. I think announcing a pregnancy is such a special thing. It's starting a new chapter in your life.

How did you tell your parents/grandparents that you were expecting?

  1. I can't imagine how nerve-wracking that must have been for you!! I love the photo ideas above, when I found out I was pregnant with my youngest we ordered cupcakes with ' E is going to be a big sister' written on them. My parents were expecting a birthday cake for my husband so it was a bit of a shock ( but a good one, lol!) xx

  2. Love the idea of a super cute photoshoot announcing a pregnancy- great way to document the memories, too. :)

  3. I love all the pregnancy announcements that people have now! sadly ours was through IVF and so most close family knew we going through it and it wasn't as much of a surprise. But it was nice to tell our friends. Who were delighted! Lovely post and ideas xx
