Our Winter Family Walk

On Sunday we decided to go out for a family walk. We haven't been able to do many things recently but on Sunday we decided to just go out and have a family day. We had no idea where we were going to go until I decided we should go to a place called Llanfairfechan to surprise my Nain and Taid. Every Sunday my Nain and Taid go to Llanfairfechan for a walk and some lunch so this Sunday we decided to meet them. We didn't arrive until about 2pm and they were still in the café. From blogging all morning and sitting in the car for about 40 minutes all the way there, I decided to just go straight for a walk and meet them later when they finished their food as I really didn't want to sit down again.
It was really cold and I am so glad we all had our winter coats on (except my partner). We walked around the lake that is in the middle so we had the sea air and I can tell you - my hands and face was ice cold. Winter sure is here. Despite it being really cold, we all really enjoyed the walk and the girls just couldn't wait until we reached the park so they could have a little play.
5 minutes after we arrived in the park my Nain and Taid arrived. Mia learnt many few things such as climbing right at the top of the climbing frame and spinning herself around on one of the bars, which then she did over and over again until I asked her to have a break just incase her arms got to tired and gave way which then would probably mean a trip to the hospital!
After 20 minutes or so in the park we decided to go for another walk around the lake and it was a bit colder the second time and I honestly couldn't wait until we reached the car to be all warm and cosy! When arrived at the car, we said our goodbyes to my Nain and Taid and we decided to go to a café on the side of the motorway called 'Puffin'. My partner had a cappuccino, the girls had a fruit shoot each and I had a cup of tea for myself. We all shared some welsh cakes which were only 30p and lovely too. It was a really nice and different kind of day.

We haven't been hit by a cold spell yet in Cornwall, it is still T shirt weather but I'm not looking forward to the coats coming out. Something quite bracing about a good walk and a play near the sea though and looks like it was just what you all needed. a lovely blast of fresh air, I look forward to seeing this one on Country Kids. Some lovely photos and Taid looks thrilled to see the girls there and those welsh cakes at the cafe sound a bargain. #MagcMoments

ReplyDeleteThe beach can be chillier to walk on that you give it credit for at this time of year, but I have to say I love a blowy beach walk. #countrykids
