Sisters | Siblings October

I remember that first week Elliw came home from hospital after being born, Mia was a little confused but she had shocked me. She wasn't jealous, she was happy and over the moon she had a new baby sister. It took her a few days to get used to the fact that she had to 'share' me but she was a good girl. Every single morning Mia would come into our bedroom and give Elliw a new toy from her box. She would also feed her and stroke her little chubby face. I regret not taking many photos but I still have the memories in my head and that is more than enough for me.

Watching them both grow into two beautiful little girls I can say that I am really proud to be their Mam. They can both be a handful every day with Elliw's tantrums and acting spoilt and with Mia's attitude but when they're good, they are perfect. I really wouldn't have it any other way.

It makes me sad to think that they will both be in full time school next year. It's hard enough for me to still face up to the fact that Mia is in Year one and Elliw is in part-time school, wearing an uniform. But life goes on doesn't it. They have to grow, even if they grow too quickly.

Watching them both play nicely together really does melt my heart. I love their strong bond and sisterly relationship. I love how they can both make each other laugh so much and they understand their own jokes. Not very often will they sit down and cuddle up with each other but those moments are so precious. It brings back memories from when Elliw was a baby and Mia was a toddler. I try my best to capture those moments on camera because they don't happen often.

Both girls with beautiful light blonde hair. Both similar personalities but also very different in their ways. Elliw looks up to Mia so much. You can see it in her eyes when Mia speaks to her or when Mia is doing something Elliw will just sit and watch her and looks so happy. I do sit down sometimes and think what are they going to be like when they are older. But I don't want that time to come just yet. I have been lucky enough to be able to be a stay-at-home mum to watch both my girls grow up.
