Our Little Love Story #2 | Finding Out I Was Pregnant

I really wish I had written a diary back in 2011 so I could remember everything that happened but unfortunately I didn't and I have to just write things I remember. I fell pregnant pretty quickly. If I remember rightly it was within 2 or 3 months of being together. I was on the pill and forgot to take it for 2 or 3 days, silly me thought I'd be fine and didn't think much of it. Little did we know, I started cooking baby #2.


I took a test in Tesco with a close friend of mine at the time. When that positive line came up, I cried. I thought the same thing was going to happen again, me being a single Mum again through pregnancy. I thought he was going to be mad with me and thought he was just going to up and leave like how Mia's Dad did. I plucked up the courage and phoned him whilst he was out working. I really struggled to tell him and I was welling up and just wanted him face to face to have a hug.

To my shock, he was lovely about it. He came over the next day and I just wasn't used to a man being so nice to me. It felt odd but nice at the same time. I remember when he came over the next day it was really strange. He came through the door and went to the front room, we both knew I had a little baby growing inside of me and it was just a little awkward. But we managed to talk through things and he did mention and ask me I thought I could cope with two children with being so young. He had a fair point but in the end we both did just decide to carry on. The decision was made pretty much straight away.

As the months went by we decided it would be best if we moved in together. I decided we would find a house in the village he lives in, the village we still live in now. A friend of mine at the time had not long moved out of a private rent house and we knew the owners so me and my partner decided to go and ask about the house. It was perfect size for just me, my partner and Mia. It really was a big change moving from my Dads, in a small city to a quiet small village. But it felt nice moving in together and having our own place, even though it was private rented.
