On Saturday me and my partner had the afternoon to ourselves. Mia was in her Dads and Elliw went out for the afternoon with my partners parents. We decided to go out for a walk somewhere before doing the weekly food shop. We went to a place called Glynllifon. I had never visited the place before, but my partner had been a few times a few years ago. I was really interested too see what the place was like because it is only a 5 minutes ride in the car from my house.
We were really lucky because the weather was so warm and we finally had a proper Summer's day. The place was absolutely stunning. We started to walk through some gardens and trees, with some stunning rivers. We walked out some trees and there was a huge 102 bedroom mansion right in front of us. I love old buildings. I had a weird feeling whilst I was there walking on the grounds. The garden had over grown but still looked beautiful. The building has been run down a bit, it used to be a wedding venue, I'm not quite sure if it still is or not though. I was really interested to know more about this building. It was really breath taking. The 700 acre ground, 102 bedroom mansion, the home of Prince Charles, Prince Of Wales Investiture Ball in 1969 includes a Grade 1 listed park and is also a home to many rare and endangered species.
There are so many paths and turns to take on the walk. You can walk all around, through the trees and see some beautiful streams, waterfalls, caves, old buildings, water fountains and beautiful sightings on your walk too. I can't even explain how beautiful and how breath taking the place is. What is great too is, it's free for everyone. There is a small park, café, shop and somewhere to sit too but there are also picnic benches throughout the grounds. I really can't wait to take the girls again next week.
Me and my partner had a lovely time. Not very often do we have time just me and him but today, we fully enjoyed ourselves. We really did make the most of it. No words can describe how much I love him.
