Finding Out I Was Expecting Baby #3

I always knew I wanted another baby in future. But firstly I wanted to work my blog up and I was hoping to do that whilst Elliw started full time school in September, as she is only part time at the moment so it is pretty difficult to do some blog work during the day when she is home. I wasn't quite sure when I wanted another but I'd think about 2017 or 2018.

During October just a few weeks after I had finished my period, I started to feel very nausea, extremely tired and my breasts were so sensitive and very painful. My breasts would really hurt even if I was getting changed and especially if the girls came running up to me to give me a cuddle. I was finding it hard to 'stick to plan' with my food as many foods I just couldn't face eating and I could only eat the foods I really fancied at the time. So my usual morning of planning my foods for the rest of the day went out of the window. At this point, I had no idea I was pregnant.

I was due on the 1st November 2015. I was late. I didn't panic too much because I had been a day or two late previous months. I was starting to feel very bloated. I basically felt like cr*p along with all the other symptoms I was having. When it came to the third day of being late, I took a test and it came back negative. I took another test the day after and took many tests after that but they all came back negative.

At around 5 days late I took myself to the doctors. Nearly two hours wait and I finally got to go in to speak to the doctor. He asked me how I felt and I told him straight that I felt how I did with my other two pregnancies, I felt pregnant. He smiled and he said I probably was but hormone levels weren't high enough but he also said many things can cause a late period. He told me to come back the following week for a blood test.

At 7-8 days late, still with negative tests, I went back to the doctors and a different doctor was there that day. She told me to go to reception and book an appointment for a blood test. I had my blood test at 10 days late roughly and it came back negative. I wasn't sure if I felt pleased or not because I had it in my head that I was pregnant, I felt pregnant.

At 16 days late I decided to just take one last pregnancy test. So I went to the chemist to buy one. When I arrived home from the school run I ran straight to the toilet to take the test. I brought the test downstairs with me and I sat down with shock. A second line appeared - it was positive! Although I knew in my head that I was pregnant but because of all the negative tests I was starting to think something else was wrong in my body. Thankfully, the reason for the late period was because my Baby was growing inside of me.

I was nervous and shocked at the start but pretty quickly I was extremely happy and excited. The scan took me back 2 weeks which means I was around 4-5 weeks pregnant, which makes sense I had all of the negative tests because my hormones must of been extremely low.

July sounds like a long time away but I am sure it will go pretty quickly and I can not wait to share my pregnancy and bump updates with you all from 12 weeks onwards.
