On the 17th July me, Mia, Elliw and my partner went away to Frodsham with my partners Mam, Dad, Aunty and Uncle. We stayed in Forest Hill Hotel in Frodsham which had beautiful views. We stayed for 3 nights to celebrate my partners mothers 60th Birthday. We had such a fantastic weekend.
We decided to start our journey after Mia finished school at 3pm. So we arrived just before 6. We got settled into our rooms and we got ready to have food at 7. We had food in the hotels restaurant every night and morning. The food was delicious. The first night we decided to go to bed around 10pm. The girls didn't settle until 11.30pm and woke up 6.45am. Of course, we were shattered for the rest of the day!
We went to Knowsley Safari Park on Saturday which was really worth the money. Everyone enjoyed it, especially the girls. Seeing all the animals were amazing and going through where the monkeys were was hilarious. I will write a post just for this day soon! I have a lot of photos of this day.
On Sunday, my partner, Mia and Elliw went to the swimming pool and Mia actually went in! Unlike when she was in Thailand when she was terrified of the water. I was so happy that she was confident enough to go into the swimming pool this week. We then decided to visit the River Dee which was a stunning place. We went on the boat which travelled for 30 minutes. The girls really enjoyed it. There were lovely houses and holiday homes along the side of the river.
Sunday evening we decided to celebrate the mother in law's 60th birthday. Seeing as her birthday was Monday and Sunday was our last night in the hotel we thought we would bring the cake down for Sunday Evening. When we sang Happy Birthday, a couple next to us and another party behind us {also celebrating a 60th} sang along with us! So it was joyful time for us all. The cake was made by my friend Seri's Sweet Sensations. It was a vanilla sponge with lemon butter filling which tasted amazing.
The hotel was amazing, the staff were friendly and helpful. The only downfall to the hotel was the room was extremely hot. We had 3 fans and the window open all day and night and it was still hot and very hard to get to sleep! Next time we may need to book in the Winter! The views from the hotel were truly stunning.
Although we all enjoyed ourselves, I am really pleased to be home! Back to the washing... That part I wasn't looking forward too!
More posts to follow the next few days...

DeleteBizarre that I should read this post as we also went up and down the River Dee in Chester on the boat for my son's birthday treat at the weekend. I have lived in the area all my life and it was the first time I have been on it. I learnt so many things and I agree with you that the houses are stunning. I would quite happily live in their sheds! Glad you enjoyed it too. #MyFavouritePost
