Home Learning Course

When you're a stay at home parent or even a working parent, it is really hard to keep on top of things and do the things you really want. Some parents haven't had the chance to go to college or somewhere to qualify a course that they want to do. But many parents don't think about courses they can do at home and still qualify at the end of it.

Luckily, I managed to finished my childcare course when I was 3 months pregnant with my first daughter. I have been wanting to do a different course for years but wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do as I had an interest in a few things. A few months ago NCC Learning contacted me to see if I wanted to do an online course through them and gave me a list. I had a look at each course and decided to go with the Personal Assistant course. It is different to my childcare course that I did 7 years ago but I am really interested in trying something new out.

The Personal Assistant course will cover a few areas such as:
- Understanding organisations
- Professionalism in the approach to work
- Communication
- Time management
- Managing business information
- Office management systems and procedures
- Customer service
- Working with others
- Legal and regulatory requirements
- Handling difficult situations

When I read the list of things that the course covers I was really interested to do the course as it covers a few things that could get me a job in future. I've always been interested in being an assistant somewhere, so this course was perfect for me. The best thing about it is I can do the course at the comfort of my own home whilst still looking after the girls.

NCC Home Learning covers over 350 courses such as Beautician, Photography, Accountancy, Childcare and much more. There are payment plans available if you are not able to pay up straight and they will also match prices if you find a course cheaper somewhere else. There are many course types such as IGCSE, A levels, NCC and much more.

Have you ever taken an online course?

  1. Good luck with your course. I have done courses through the Open University before and really enjoyed them!

  2. I did try a course at home but sadly I quickly lost interest! I think I was in a bit of crisis though when doing it ha.

  3. Good luck with your course. I used to be a PA... very long hours and very hard work. It's very much like looking after a newborn, they can't survive without you. Ha!

I started a HTML online course a while ago, it's nice to be able to work at your own pace.
