Freddie - Two Months Old

I can't believe that Freddie is 2 months already. Life has changed so much within these 2 months for all of us. There's been a lot of ups and downs but it's also been just so amazing having Freddie around and in our lives at last. He really has filled a missing piece in our family that we didn't even know that was missing. The past 2 months have been filled with challenges, cuddles and excitement. Watching him grow each day is amazing and I feel so lucky that I'm the one who gets to watch him grow and help him. Most of all I feel super lucky that he is my son.

Sleeping
Freddie has kind of got himself into a routine with sleeping during the night. He will usually go to sleep around 10pm until 2-4am. After that he will wake up every 2 hours for a feed. He will usually wake up around 8am for his last feed before we go for the school run and have a quick nap in his pram and wake up once we arrive home. He has a habit of waking up the minute I open the front door. I was told that his Dad was like that when he was baby too. During the day he will either have 1 or 2 kind of good naps that will last roughly 40 minutes. He loves to be rocked and cuddled to go to sleep too.

Breastfeeding
I have achieved 2 months of breastfeeding and I am so glad I carried on and stuck to it. If I am honest though there hasn't been a day where I wanted to stop. He still feeds very often and it can be anything between 1-2 hours. Sometimes but not very often will he go 3 hours without a feed. Even though it seems like he is constantly on me, I can not see myself stopping anytime soon but I do hope one day he will go a bit longer without a feed as it can be so hard to get things done such as work, housework, do things with the girls and prepare/cook food.

Mia & Elliw
The girls are amazing with Freddie. Mia is quite motherly with him and loves to hold him when he's on my bed and when I'm around. She has tried to other times but my partner or myself tell her not to. They both adore him so much and I feel lucky that neither of them have been jealous of Freddie. Especially from Mia's first reaction from when I told her I was having another baby she was not happy at all but throughout the pregnancy she did get used to the idea of being a big sister again. But yet again, she seemed so nervous. Even when she met Freddie for the first time she wouldn't hold him until he was a couple of days old. But since then she loves holding him and helping out.

Elliw calls him her Freddie Flower which is just adorable. I am really happy how well she has taken the role of the big sister. The same as Mia, she loves to hold him and cuddle him but I have noticed she still doesn't understand properly yet that we have to be careful with him. I am sure sometimes she thinks he is a doll! But she does try her best. I really can't fault either of them, they are both amazing with him.

Development/Growth
I've noticed Freddie sticking his tongue out a lot more recently, it's adorable when he does it. He smiles so much and his little dimples when he smiles are just adorable. He has tried to bring out a giggle but he hasn't got the hang of it just yet. He has started doing baby cooing noises which is so cute and the girls love it when he does those noises. He's definetely found his hands as he is forever sucking his hands and trying to stuff his fists into his mouth.

He got weighed when he was 8 weeks old and he currently weighs 13lbs and half oz which is amazing. The Health Visitor was super happy with his weight gain yet again. I need to bring out his 3-6 months babygrows as his feet are right at the bottom of his 0-3 pyjamas and I have noticed some trousers are starting to get too short or tight, so they will have to go soon. I felt so sad the other day as I took out all of his newborn clothes as nothing from that size fit him anymore. I will soon have an Instagram sale page selling his old clothes {mostly new} if anyone is interested updates will be on here, Twitter and Facebook.

Freddie Loves:
- Cuddles
- Attention
- Co-sleeping
- Being settled breastfeeding
- Being with his Mama
- Hearing his sisters' voices
- The bath sometimes
- Being rocked to sleep
