My Personal Blogging Goals

I've been blogging for over three years now and although my blog is an online diary for myself where I can write about our family adventures, memories of the kids and more, it's also my income. My partner goes out to work full-time and I work from home as well as being a stay-at-home Mum. Not many people know that I work from home and most people are shocked when I tell them that my job is my blog and that is where I get my income from.
Back when I started blogging and if someone told me that I'd be earning so and so per month, I wouldn't believe them. Not one bit. I am really happy that I'm able to get an income for doing something I love, and that's why I've decided to work even harder so I won't have to return back out to work when Freddie starts full-time school. My main goal is to work from home full-time, earn a full-time wage and still able to look after the kids. I have 4 whole years to aim for that, so I do feel confident I can do it. At the moment I am working around 4-5 hours a day. When I was pregnant and before I fell pregnant I was working double that. When Freddie grows older, I know my hours will go back up again but at the moment it's having to work around his routine and the girls routine too.
Here are my personal goals I'd like to achieve by December 2017:
• Reach 150 subscribers on my YouTube Channel.
At the beginning of the year, I decided to start vlogging, and it's one of the best decisions I've made. I've done a few vlogs, and I do hope to be more organised and do more videos such as our 'Day In The Life' vlogs as I really enjoy doing them. I've currently got 40 subscribers which I'm really happy with right now.
• Be more organised
I could say this about everything; blogging, housework and just life. But, I really want to be more organised with work. Working from home can be difficult, and I've found it difficult working around Freddie because he hates nap times and just hates sleep in general. I've got a blogging journal which I absolutely love from CoCoChic. I've bought the same journal for the second year now, and I do recommend it if you're a blogger.
By being more organised with my blog, I need to make set days and times when I work and days when I should be 'off'. I find if I work every day and stress about it - I don't enjoy it. That day or so break helps a lot.
• Reach 3000 likes on Facebook
I'm not sure I'll be able to achieve this, but I can try. Out of all three social media accounts I have, Facebook has been the hardest one to gain likes. I do post on it daily or every other day and my reach is getting higher and higher each day. However, with the likes, it's going up slowly. I would love to learn ways to gain more genuine likes.
• Reach 4500 followers on Facebook
Instagram is my second social media platform where I struggle to gain more followers. But I have gained more followers in the past few months than I did previously. I have over 3000 followers at the moment so I am aiming to gain another 1500 this year. I think it is doable. I just need to up my game!
• Reach 6000 followers on Twitter
I currently have over 4800 Twitter followers and I find it the easiest social media platform to gain followers. However, I need to up my game with Twitter. I need to interact more by joining in with Twitter chats and interacting with readers and other bloggers. There are still many things I need to learn on Twitter.
• Have a steady monthly income
I'd like to finish this year by saying that I've had a steady monthly income each month. It's quite hard to stay motivated when you know you're going to struggle with money some months. It stresses me out and my motivation goes out the window. But this could be down to not being organised enough.
• Do more social media work
I've said above I'd like to achieve a certain amount of likes/followers on each social media. The one main thing that will help that is to interact more with readers and other bloggers. Although I have a few fair readers, I need to get myself out there, even more. To be where I want to be, I need people to recognise who I am and in a way that feels pretty scary. But, that's what I'm aiming for. I need to do more social media work by updating them all daily, interacting and scheduling posts.
There are many things I want to achieve by the end of the year. The biggest goal I have is to make my blog, my full-time job. Anything is possible, right?
