I can't believe it's been nearly two whole years since we visited Thailand. It was such an amazing 3-week experience. The girls absolutely loved it, and we would love to visit again, especially that we have Freddie now too. My partner and I were looking through our Thailand photo albums the other night, and they brought back so many memories. For a while, we were chatting about the things we did and things we plan to next time when we visit again.
We had a little birthday celebration for Elliw's 3rd birthday and we bought her an ice cream cake, which was absolutely delicious. We had a ride on an elephant and although it was a fantastic (and scary) experience, I will not be doing it again. I've always liked elephants but since visiting Thailand, I absolutely adore them. They're such beautiful animals.
The way of life in Thailand is totally different to ours. I loved passing streets and just watching the world go by. It was interesting to how different they live their life. The roads were manic, the heat was a different kind of heat to this country, the people were different, the whole way of life, was different. If you've never visited, I would recommend you visit there one day. We went to Hua Hin and can't wait to go again to make even more memories.
One of memories we have from Thailand is that Elliw learnt to swim. She was really nervous at first but I think that was mainly because Mia was scared and so Elliw didn't have much confident after that. Minute we got her into the water, she absolutely loved it and spent hours there.
During our stay in Thailand we went to visit a place where they look after elephants. The place we visited was a charity for elephants and it also had an elephant hospital. We took a ride on the elephants and Mia had the experience of playing football with the elephant too. Something I hope she will never forget.
I have written many posts about Thailand. Here are a few;
