Family Day in Liverpool

For the past couple of months now my partner has been working most Saturdays and late in the weekdays. We really do miss having him around, especially on the Saturdays as I always see Saturday as a family day, a day we can all relax and make memories. However, it has made me appreciate our family days out a lot more. Today we decided to visit Liverpool, one of my favourite cities. I have been visiting Liverpool every year for the past four years, and I get so excited when we plan to visit again. This visit was only planned a few days back, and I find the last minute plans are always the best.

I won't lie, the morning was like hell broke loose. The girls were misbehaving so much, and they weren't listening to a thing. It was a lot of stress, but we eventually left the house by 9am. When we arrived in Liverpool, we went straight onto the Albert Dock to visit the Museum of Liverpool. My partner and I had visited the museum last year or the year before and absolutely loved it. We have wanted to take the kids with us ever since, and we finally did that. The girls really enjoyed themselves; they were so excited and interested in everything at the Museum. Mia was the most interested in the history of some things, and Elliw just loved picking up the phoned that were all over the museum.

After going round the museum, we decided to just head into the centre for lunch. The forecast had also said it was going to pour down with rain from 2pm onwards, so we didn't want to stay on the dock for too long incase it poured down out of nowhere. We went to Pizza Hut for lunch and really enjoyed it. The girls loved it. Afterward, we had a walk around the centre and I popped into Primark for a few bits for us all. When I finished in Primark, we went to a couple of other shops as we passed but then ended up leaving to go home as it was starting to rain and we were all getting really tired.

Although it seemed like we didn't do much, mainly due to the risk of it pouring down, we all really enjoyed ourselves. We spent quite a while in the museum, and we did have a small walk on the Albert dock which was lovely. I absolutely love taking the girls to new places. The last time they visited Liverpool was a couple of years back, but I don't think they can remember that time. I am really looking forward to our next family day out soon.
