Tips on Being a Glamorous Mummy

It can be difficult to be a glamorous Mum these days, but there are lots of ways for you to spice your wardrobe up, so you can look great when going to the playground to pick up the kids.  We’ve put together some tips for you to look like a yummy mummy without having to try too hard.  That way, you can go out the door feeling calm and confident, knowing that you look great.

Dress up your Wardrobe
What you wear can not only have an impression on how you look, but how you feel.  Wearing something such as an off white hoodie, or a Saint Laurent t-shirt, can give off the impression that you are going for the casual approach – whilst actually looking fantastic all at the same time. You can of course go for a more glamorous look, but let’s face it – you don’t want people to know straight away that you made too much effort.  These kind of casual looks can look fantastic when on the way out with the kids.  Take your pick from some of these great casual but stylish outfit options to stand out from the crowd.  You can find some great choices at ssense.com.

Accessorize
If you do want to glam it up a little, why not try accessorizing with some great statement items?  You can dress things up with a Chloe bag, or a Chloe backpack might work if you have a lot of stuff to carry!  Bags aren’t the only option to spice your look up a little.  You could dress things up with a nice pair of shoes to make things look a little more stylish too. There are lots of options out there these days, and they can be comfortable whilst look great at the same time if you are on the move a lot.  Sliders for example have taken a bit of an increase in popularity, or wedges are coming back in style.  Of course, off-setting your outfit with some jewellery can also work.  A nice pair of earrings, or necklace can work wonders in terms of completing your look.

Have a Home Spa Day
A home spa day can be the perfect way to relax, and to leave you looking and feeling great. Make sure you set some time aside for you to relax and rejuvenate.  Run yourself a bath, get a face mask, and even have a glass of Prosecco.  You can even use some exfoliator to get your skin ready for treatment.  Make sure you set a relaxing atmosphere. Get some candles lit, some essential oils and let everyone know that you are looking for some “me time” to avoid interruptions.  Once you are done, why not do a DIY manicure, or some self-tanning?  These simple things can make all the difference in terms of confidence and making you feel great.

Do Some Exercise
This suggestion isn’t purely to insinuate weight loss, it’s more of a confidence thing.  When you feel good about yourself, you usually look better in general. Exercise is also known for giving you more radiant skin due to sweat (providing you are working hard) which can give you a healthy glow!  According to certain studies yoga can also be effective in terms of increasing stature as well as being relaxing.  If you want to be taller, this could be the way to go.  In general, you should feel less stressed and anxious which will have a positive effect on how you look.

A Little Fake Tan Wouldn’t Hurt…..
There’s lots of arguments to suggest that fake tan can be slimming.  If you feel a little lighter, then usually it makes you feel better.  If you normally have a very pale complexion – then fake tan could be exactly what you need to give you a healthier look.  If you think that might be a little too much for you, then you could try some bronzer.  Although, there are lots of gradual tan options these days where you can make it a gradual process, so other people wouldn’t even know that you are doing it.  If in doubt, then it might be a good idea to go to a salon to kick things off.
Hopefully these tips will see you well on your way to becoming a yummy Mummy.  Whether you want to jazz things up with some statement clothing items or invest in some jewellery – there are some really easy ways to look and feel better.  Of course, the main message is to relax and de-stress which will have its own positive effects on your appearance.
