The Most Beautiful Parts Of The UK You Have To See

Whether you are planning a family holiday, or you just want to get away on a solo trek, there are so many amazing places around the UK that you might want to consider checking out. If you’re keen to try out some new parts of the UK you haven’t seen before, it can actually be hard to know where to start. In this post, therefore, we are going to try and make this a little easier for you by discussing some examples of the best, most beautiful places in the UK that you may want to see for yourself.

Lake District

Chances are, this is one of those British destinations that you have always wanted to check out. It is certainly a popular place, and somewhere that you will find you are likely to enjoy a great deal, especially if you enjoy the outdoors, hiking and so on. You can easily find a stunning Lake District hotel to stay in for the duration of the trip, and then just take yourself on walks or check out the lakes themselves. However you do it, it’s a stunning part of the world that you will be absolutely in love with.

Bath

Bath is an amazing and beautiful city in the South West of England, and a UNESCO World Heritage site too. It sits in a bowl surrounded by amazing countryside that you can see from more or less every street in the city. It is a hotspot tourist destination, and a great place to go if you want to learn a little about the Roman history of this country. The baths themselves are, of course, the main highlight, though you can’t swim in them anymore - you’ll have to go next door to the spa if you want to use the hot springs.

Cotswolds

Nearby to Bath and further North into central England are the Cotswolds. While there is no official boundary of where the Cotswolds begins and ends, it is more of a general spread in that part of the country of postcard-perfect villages made of that famous Cotswolds stone. It really is a beautiful part of the UK to see, and often you can find some great pubs and inns to stay in too. A perfect example of a Cotswolds village would be Castle Combe, which you may recognise from a number of films and TV shows.

Highlands

Finally, the Scottish Highlands. This is easily one of the most beautiful parts of the world, let alone the UK, with some amazing natural colours and stunning vistas to check out. If you are keen on taking a look at the Highlands, there are a lot of ways to do so, but one of the easiest and most enjoyable is just to hire a car and drive yourself around. That is something that you will find allows you to explore at your own pace, which is always a great way to see anywhere. It’s especially beautiful in the autumn, but any time of year is great for the Highlands.
