Baker Days Review

We got to review a cake from Baker Days recently. I was so excited! As I am doing Slimming World i don't often get cake so i was really excited to just have a treat! Luckily it came on the day i was getting weighed - so i didn't feel to guilty eating it after i got weighed. 

Delivery
I had e-mailed the photo i wanted on the cake and we got it in 2 days which i was really happy with. They do offer next day deliveries though which is great! I was really shocked that the postman had actually just posted it through the letterbox. I had no idea what it was until i opened it. It was in a cardboard box with a lot of bubble wrap around the tin. 

The Cake
I got to choose what photo i wanted on the cake, there was no birthdays and no special occasion coming up so i just thought to relate it to my blog and got my header on the cake. It was a big hit with me and my partner. It was nice and soft and very tasty. One thing i noticed though was the butter cream was on under the cake so we had to scrape it off, it would have been even nicer if it was in the middle of the cake. We had half each, it wasn't that big really so we just shared it. Very nice with a cup of tea. I've never been a big fan of icing but i thought the icing on this cake was lovely! It was nice and sweet, just how i like it.

Baker Days
Baker Days is where you can get your cake posted through your letterbox! You can personalise your cake and choose your size and taste. If you order the cake before 2pm then they will deliver to you the next working day. All letterbox cakes comes with candles and balloons. Larger cakes come with a cake slicer. 
I was really worried about it not being fresh - but it was 100% fresh which i was very pleased about. All cakes are handmade which is a bonus. They also do cupcakes.
