ICE CREAM CAKE, BLUE SKIES AND LEARNING TO SWIM

It has been 2 months today since we came back home from Thailand. I really can't believe how fast our 3 weeks holiday went. Thailand was my first ever holiday abroad and I am really glad that it was with my girls. The past few weeks I haven't stopped thinking about our time in Thailand and how much I miss it. I miss the heat. I miss the people. I miss the way they live. I miss the laughter and going to the pool every single day.

I really do miss just jumping into the pool every single day. Just having a swim and feeling fresh. I miss learning Elliw to swim. I am really glad that we can turn around to her one day and tell her that she learnt to swim in Thailand!

Swenson's was a place we visited a few times when we went to Market Village. It was Elliw's birthday just a couple of days after we arrived home so we decided to get her a cake and a little get together whilst we were in Thailand. We go her an ice cream cake from Swenson's and it was lovely. I wish they would do ice cream cakes around here, perfect for the Summer if we get hot weather.

I miss waking up in the mornings and being able to just walk in shorts and a vest top. Going out in the evenings with no long sleeves or long length leggings and a big coat. Just going out feeling comfortable and warm. Shockingly, I miss the day times where you would walk down a street and you would be sweating because it was so hot. Writing this now is making me miss Thailand even more! I really can't wait to go back one day.

The way people lived in Thailand really interested me. I loved going for a ride in the car and just looking out of the window as there was always something interesting to look at. There were cables all over the place. Not as tidy as they are around here, as you can see in the photo below. You would see these huts/sheds that look like an outside shed or garage to us but it is their home. It was very interesting on how people lived and how people could live in places like that. There are so many home businesses on the streets. You would see a lot of people cooking food and laundry places. There was so much to see. The views were just absolutely stunning.

It had cake as the base then 3 layers of ice cream. It was so tasty! But we had to eat it quick because of the heat.
