Swings, McDonalds and Laughter

On Monday my Dad came over with my little brother. We don't see my little brother very often, only during school holidays because he lives with his Mam in South Wales. He is up for 4 weeks during the Summer holidays this year so we try our best to see him as often as we can. Mia and Elliw absolutely love seeing him.

All the kids were playing in the house for a couple of hours then we decided to go out. I wanted to go to a shop in the town where my Dad lives, he didn't mind because he wanted to pop into his work quickly too. We then decided to take the kids to McDonalds and to the park. We went to a park in Caernarfon. It's a big park with a skate park next to it. It can be very busy during the Summer. Not far from the park is Caernarfon Castle, which is stunning and a lovely walk around. There are many places near the park you can sit around and have a picnic, but we decided to let the kids eat their dinner in the car because it was a bit chilly outside for them to eat. They were super excited to go outside!

 

Me and my Dad sat in the car for a bit whilst the kids went to play in the park. Elliw loved going down the slides and Mia went down the fireman pole for the first time, by herself! I've never really liked parks, especially after Elliw getting stuck on a high slide last year. Plus I get quite bored in parks pretty quickly. But the girls are older now so they do pretty much everything by themselves. Also my little brother was there to help and look after them too!

I ended up going into the park with them and Elliw wanted to go on the swing, then Mia did too. After about an hour or so in the park we decided to go back home. It was getting to near 7pm. Mia had a tantrum, but soon calmed down when she finally went to sleep!
