Freddie George - 7 Week Update

Freddie turned 7 weeks old on Saturday and it's flying by so quickly. He has changed so much since he was born and he's turning out to be just an amazing little boy with such a beautiful smile. He really is a cuddly baby and loves to be rocked and cuddled tightly. He also loves to know that I am there. I have also noticed that he loves putting his head against my chest and he will settle there if he's upset or sleepy.


The past week I have noticed that he is happy to be lying on his back on his Fisher Price play gym and will lie there for at least 15 minutes {or a little less}. He also loves sitting up in his bouncy chair. He doesn't sleep that much during the day unless he is in my arms but he will have one or two naps that last around an hour or two maybe. From 9pm he will have a good 4-5 hour sleep and then he will wake up every 2-3 hours then during the night but some nights he settles at midnight and doesn't wake up until 4-5am which isn't too bad.

Freddie is starting to smile a lot recently. He is so nosy and loves looking around, especially at faces and out of the living room window. He is trying his best to get noises out and he has said a few cooing noises - which is just adorable. A few days ago it really looked like he was trying his best to giggle and he's tried it a few times after that too. He is a lot more alert these days and recognising voices.

He has outgrown newborn clothes and I am still needing to sort out his clothes and take out the newborn clothes from his draws. He is currently in 0-3 months but some of his babygrows will be too small length wise in the next couple of weeks because he is just so long. It makes me feel so sad that he will soon be in 3-6 months clothes, he's growing so quickly. I love him in his dinosaur print babygrow, it's my favourite one for him and he's slowly growing out of it which is a shame.

These past 7 weeks have been amazing. I have so much patience with Freddie and I could literally cuddle him all day every day if I could. Just knowing he is my last little baby and my first son I think I am just wanting to take everything in and make the most of it a lot more because I know just how fast kids grow.
