Our Month - July

I feel quite sad this July is over already. It went a bit too quick, but we have had some lovely memories. We went away for a small break to Haven to celebrate Freddie's first birthday and still to this day I can't quite believe that he's one year old, already. Time has just flown by, and it just feels like yesterday that I gave birth to him. For a while, we had planned to go away for Freddie's birthday, and we were lucky that we got the date we wanted because it was the last available date in the summer holidays. I feel like it's going to be a yearly thing for us to visit Haven. The girls have loved going there the past two times, and I can just see Freddie loving it just as much when he's a little older and understands more.

At the beginning of the month, we went to a 'Pick Your Own Strawberries' Farm. We hadn't actually planned to go there. In fact, we had no idea where we wanted to go that day. We just went in the car and off we went. We had a long car journey around Anglesey, and we just happened to pass the farm, which I had no idea about. I got overly excited and couldn't wait to go there. I have wanted to visit one for a couple of years. Mia was in her Dad's, and so she missed out, but we have promised her that we will take her in August sometime, which she's super excited about. Elliw loved it, and I was surprised that she wasn't scared picking the strawberries, she was even eating some too.

The girls have also broken up from school for their summer holidays. I'm quite nervous about the thought of having all three kids at home, every day. Trying to think of ways to entertain them through the next six weeks makes me even more nervous. I have written up a summer bucket list which I hope to tick off all by the end of August. I find going out of the house reduces arguments in the house. I've been going out most mornings since the holidays started and it really helps my mood for the rest of the day. The morning time after breakfast can be really stressful at times because Freddie will start getting tired and the girls just seem to start playing up, then start arguing.

One of our first adventures in the first week was going on the train from Porthmadog to Pwllheli. My partners Mam invited us to go with her for the day. We had food in Pwllheli and did a little bit of shopping before heading back on the train to get an ice cream in Porthmadog. Freddie was fast asleep on the train going to Pwllheli but was awake on our return. He absolutely loved it and so did the girls. I had managed to take a few photos but not as much as I wished. I had also taken them on my phone as my camera hadn't charged enough before going.

I also managed to get some photos of us all together during our stay in Haven. Something I used to find really hard before was to get a photo of us all five together. I have managed to achieve this in the last few months and it's all down to blogging. I don't think I'd have these or the other photos if it wasn't for blogging. Each family photo of us is something I will treasure. I absolutely love it when I fall in love with a photo. They're so special.

  1. Looks like a lovely month. That cake is stunning. I wanted to visit a PYO farm but ours closed before we got round to it. I know what you mean about the past 12 months going so fast (I have an almost 14 month old).

Time is flying by isn't it, George turned 6 a few weeks ago and it feels like yesterday since we celebrate him turning 5. Sorry to be a pain but would you add a link back to #MyFamilyAdventures please - thanks so much x
