Dyson Big Ball Animal 2 Vacuum Cleaner Review

When you become a parent, you get super excited about things you never thought you'd be excited about. A vacuum cleaner for instance. I received the Dyson Big Ball Animal 2 Vacuum Cleaner a couple of weeks ago, and I've been using it every day clearing up after my three little ones. Having three kids who love to make a mess, one of them being a toddler who makes even more of a mess, I find myself hoovering up to three times on a daily basis - with an odd day here an there where I miss.

I've always wanted to own a Dyson hoover and was overly excited for the delivery of this Big Ball Animal 2. When it arrived, I was instantly impressed by the weight and size of the vacuum. When I unboxed the vacuum, I was loved how modern it looked and how easy it was to put together. As I've been using this vacuum for a couple of weeks now, I thought I'd share what I exactly thought about the vacuum cleaner.

Size and weight
As said above, I was very impressed with the size and weight of the vacuum cleaner. It's not very light, but it's lighter than many other vacuum cleaners out there. The weight of the vacuum is 7.5kg.

Dust bin
The bagless dust bin has a 1.5-litre capacity, which is a decent size that means you won't need to empty it very often. You clip the dust bin off the main body and then release the dust into your bin. This is a lot more hygienic than previous vacuums. It is also suggested that you clean the filter every so often.

Great for pet owners
If you have pets, this vacuum cleaner is perfect. There are a few different heads for the vacuum and the Tangle Free Turbine tool removes dirt and pet hair with ease. So there is no need to worry having pet hair and muddy paws everywhere.

Very easy to attach and detach new head cleaners/tools

Features
• 1.5 litre bagless dust bin
• Picks itself up when knocked over
• Very easy to manoeuvre
• Strong suction
• The main vacuum head is great for all floors
• Lightweight
• Easy to assemble
• Quick release tools
• 25% quieter
• Rotating wand handle
• Modern looking
• Choice of tools/cleaner heads
• Great for saving space

I do love a few things about the Dyson Big Ball Animal 2, especially when it straightens back up when it's been knocked over. There's a lot of corners in my home, and my previous vacuum was forever getting stuck or knocked over. With this vacuum picking itself up, it saves minutes which means I get to spend more time with my little ones. As it's lightweight too, it's not hard to pull it around while you're hoovering your rooms. Having a rotating handle makes manoeuvring the vacuum much easier. I've never had a vacuum with a rotating handle before, and it really does help make it easier.

The bagless dust bin is probably one of the best inventions. It's so easy to empty with one click and much more hygienic than previous vacuum cleaners. You can see when it needs emptying, and it actually shocked me at how much dirt and dust is on our floors. The suction of the vacuum is really strong, which is also great.

By pushing this button as shown above, brings the cord in. So there is no hassle of where to keep the cord.

  1. This does sound effective. We used to have an 'old school' dyson and it was amazing at suction. Now we've got a dog, this sounds ideal for all those pet hairs! #kcacols
