What Do You Do When Your Child Throws A Tantrum?

The past two or so weeks my eldest daughter, Mia, who is 6 years old has been awful with her behaviour and attitude. You really would think she is much older than she is with the way she behaves when she gets into a bad temper. She is not usually like this so I do say it is a phase and it has happened a good few months ago but it is happening again and worse. There hasn't been one day where I haven't dealt with her bad behaviour and horrible attitude, except for the one day she was at her Dad's on the weekend.

Why Norwich is the perfect place to spend a day with the family

Trying to plan a family day out? Need somewhere new to take the little ones? Norwich – with its rich history, beautiful buildings and plethora of activities for all generations – probably isn’t the first place to spring to mind. But it should be, and here are just a few reasons why.

Reason 1: It’s full of imagination

BeWILDerwood treehouse park (image source: Joccay via Flickr Creative Commons)

Norwich is an incredibly imaginative, creative city. From museums to outdoor theme parks, there’s no short of adventures to be had. Take advantage of a beautiful day and visit BeWILDerwood, ‘the curious treehouse adventure.’ This theme park, located near Hoveton, is technically a bit outside Norwich but worth the drive. With magical treehouses, mazes, lakes and trails, the little ones will be reluctant to leave. (To plan your visit, click here).

30 Photos In 30 Days

I can not believe May is nearly over and we are coming into June. Where has this year gone? It's going way too fast. June is the last ever month that we will be a family of 4 as in July we will be welcoming Baby boy to the family. I wanted to do something a little different in June and I thought I would try my best and capture at least one photo a day throughout June. I plan to take a photo every day up until they meet their baby brother.

I thought it would be a good idea to make a collage out of it and print every photo out to stick into an album with a picture of the three of them at the end. Something to look back at with all three children. I will also be putting some of these photos up on my Instagram. If you don't follow me on Instagram you can follow me: here.

Did you do anything different in the last month before baby was due?

50 Places To Visit In North Wales

If you are thinking of visiting North Wales anytime soon and stuck on where to go here is a list of 50 recommended places to visit. Even if you live in North Wales, there may be somewhere on this list you haven't visited yet and it may be worth a visit. North Wales has the most beautiful scenery of mountains and trees you are bound to see some breathtaking views in most places you visit.

My Beautiful Baby Boy

When I fell pregnant with baby number three October last year, I had no idea what to think. I was mixed with emotions but one things I knew, I wanted the baby. A little baby was growing inside of me, I grew to love this little baby more and more each day. I really wanted to know the gender and so I booked an appointment at a private scan around 14 weeks 5 days, that day was when I found out I was carrying a little boy, my first boy. Still to this day it doesn't seem real. Even when I look in his little room where all his clothes are, I still can't believe it. After having two girls I am finding it difficult to believe that I am having a son.

No words can describe how much love I have for my little boy and he isn't even here yet. I am so excited for him to meet his big sisters and see how my girls are with him but I am also excited for him just to be a part of our family now and make it complete. Watching my bump grow bigger and bigger each week gets me even more excited and even though I feel so uncomfortable and not having a nice pregnancy, I know it will all be worth it.

Being a Mum to two children already really does make the months fly by. I forget that I am pregnant sometimes, especially in the first and through half of the second trimester. It is kind of hard to forget I am pregnant now because baby feels so big and it's so uncomfortable when I sit and walk. But feeling him move {even though it can be painful} makes me so happy and excited. There isn't long now until he is here and I can not wait.

Baby boy will be the last child for me and my partner. We really don't want anymore and as sad as that does make me feel I honestly think it is right choice. I think it is perfect we have had our baby boy to complete. A little boy I have always wanted and now I am nearly 32 weeks pregnant with him. It is mad how fast these months have gone by.

I booked a 4D scan and I am so glad I did. In the room was my partner and two girls. Mia was more interested than Elliw as Elliw was really playing up and wasn't concentrating. I lay down and watched the screen. There he was. My baby boy was on the screen and so clear. He has his big sister {Elliw} and Daddy's nose. He is a spitting image of Elliw and his Daddy which is amazing. I can see a little bit of me and Mia but mostly his Daddy. It was such an amazing experience.

Baby boy has a name but we are not announcing until he is born. He was measuring just over a week ahead, and weighing 4lbs 10oz already. We have another growth scan at our local hospital soon so hopefully he won't be too big. We have had some news about inducing but I have decided to keep that one to myself and close family & friends only. :)

I really can not wait to meet him.

A Family Day In Beaumaris, North Wales

Last Sunday me and my partner took our nephew out for the day. We weren't too sure what we were going to do but in the end we had decided to go out for food in the Antelope Inn and we decided last minute to invite my uncle, cousin and grandparents. We all had a lovely time, especially Elliw, my nephew and cousin. Mia was supposed to be with us on the day but she attended the Race For Life with her Nain on her Dad's side

Why I Decided To Blog About My Pregnancy

There are many blogs out there. Some are annonymous, some are very open and some are honest but like to keep some things away. When I started blogging I knew I wanted to be honest but only up until the past year or so I have been very honest and open about what has been in happening in my life such as falling pregnant at 16 years old, post natal depression and much more. There are still some very personal things I don't wish to share but only because I keep that to myself. You have to keep some things private don't you?

Posh Canvas Review

One thing I love to have in our home are photos on the wall and personalised items around the home. I really do think it can make a house a home with personalised items and photos around the home. I recently recieved a personalised canvas from Posh Canvas. There were a few type of canvases to choose from but I decided to go with Family Icon Canvas because I thought it was really nice and quite cute too.

Obstetric Cholestasis

Obstetric Cholestasis {OC} also known as ICP is rare liver disorder women can get in pregnancy. OC only affects 1 in 100 pregnant women in the UK. The main symptom for OC is itching. Although mild itching is very normal during pregnancy but if you feel that you are constantly itching or maybe just itching a bit too much than normal then you must phone your midwife and ask for a blood test as it could be Obstetric Cholestasis.

Home Learning Course

When you're a stay at home parent or even a working parent, it is really hard to keep on top of things and do the things you really want. Some parents haven't had the chance to go to college or somewhere to qualify a course that they want to do. But many parents don't think about courses they can do at home and still qualify at the end of it.

My Interest In Photography

Ever since I was in high school I was interested in taking photos. I would always be the one with a camera but it is only until a few years ago I started to take a lot of interest in taking photos of landscapes and anything else that interested me. When I had my first daughter, Mia I am sure I took a photo daily and again when Elliw was born. It was around 3 years ago, roughly the time I started my blog that I really took it seriously. Looking back at my photos 3 or so years ago, they were terrible and pretty embarassing but I do think my photos have improved a lot within the 3 years and I am looking at buying a new camera next year to up my game a bit.

I'm A Parenting Blogger, Get Over It!

I have been blogging for over 3 years now and within the 3 years I have seen more than one slating parenting bloggers. Just why? It really doesn't make sense to me. What's worse is the ones that are slating parenting bloggers are actual bloggers themselves. I really do not understand what their problem is and I would really love to see them all go face to face to a parenting blogger and say all those negative things they have said about us.

Maxi Cosi RodiFix Booster Car Seat Review

A few weeks ago we received the Maxi Cosi RodiFix booster car seat to test out. When it arrived I was pleased at how light it was because the last thing I needed was to carry a heavy seat. I was very pleased with how padded the whole car seat was and it seemed very comfortable. We couldn't wait to get it into the car and for one of the girls to test it out.

Preparing To Meet Our Little Baby Boy

I am exactly 31 weeks pregnant writing this {23/05}. I can not believe there is only 8 weeks left until me and my partner can meet our little boy, our first little boy. The girls are so excited too meet him and the past few weeks they have been really interested in lying down besides me on the bed trying to feel and see baby boy kick. I have a home heart doppler and the girls always want to use it to hear him moving inside of me and hear the heartbeat if we can find it. I think it's a perfect way for us all to bond and a perfect way for the girls to bond with their little brother.

Hot Weather and Pregnancy - How To Deal With It

The past couple of weeks the weather has turned out really nice for us up here in North Wales. The temperature has gone up into it's 20's and it's definitely warmer than it has been for months. Although no one should complain about the heat, it is pretty hard not to complain if you are carrying a little one in your stomach. Carrying a baby makes you hot anyway, so never mind adding extra heat on top of that. The hot weather can make pregnant women feel light headed, dizzy and a little too hot. But there are ways to deal with heat whilst pregnant.

6 Things You Should Buy For Baby

When you are expecting whether it is your first, second or third {or more} time, it can get really exciting when you think about baby shopping. There are so many things a baby needs but there is only a handful of things you really need. A lot of these baby products these days aren't very essential. Most parents can agree that there are only some important products out there that you really need. Here are five things you should buy your baby.

Pram
This is quite an obvious one. We all need to go out and about and the way to do that is by getting a pram. There are all kinds of prams around these days with different looks and price tags. It can get pretty overwhelming but if you have a good look around and read reviews online or heard things by asking friends and family then you could get yourself a good idea which pram to go for. I recently reviewed the stunning UPPAbaby Vista pram and I instantly fell in love with it. The pram costs £699.99 but everything is included. Many prams these days you have to buy extra things such as sun canopies, rain covers and so on.

Wet Wipes
This is a must have in our home. We use wet wipes for everything, from housework to a baby's bottom. You name it. Our most favourite wet wipes has to be Water Wipes. They soft and gentle for baby's, children and adult's skin and not full of chemicals like all other wet wipes. They are not thin and don't rip easily like certain wipes either, which is a bonus.

Car Seat
Even if you don't have a car, buying a car seat for your baby can be quite handy. You may get a lift from friends and family and knowing you have a car seat there with you would be great instead of borrowing. You can also use car seats on most travel system prams these days too. Again, there are so many car seats to look for now days. If you are looking for something that grows with your baby, comfortable, safe and modern looking I would recommend the KiddyUK Evolution Pro 2 Infant Car Seat.

Nappies
This is a pretty obvious one isn't it. There are two kinds of nappies, disposable or cloth nappies. I have always chosen the disposable nappies as I prefer them, but everyone is different. There are all kinds of different brands to choose from. If you are stuck on which ones to choose, you could always try them all out and see which one is best for your little one.

Feeding Equipment
Whether you are breastfeeding or bottle feeding you need to get the products ready before baby arrives. There are different brands with bottle and sometimes your little one will take any teat but some babies can be fussy and may need a completley different teat from what you bought. If you decide on bottle feeding you are looking to buy - at least 6 bottles, steraliser and formula milk.
If you decide to breastfeed a breastfeeding pump would be great and there are also nursing pillow you could buy.

Moses Basket / Crib
Of course, your little one will need somewhere to sleep during the night. You could either purchase a crib, moses basket or a cot. There are many to choose from these days but it is only you who can decide on which one to choose.

Smiling {The Ordinary Moments}

Oh this week has been a tough one. A tough one with pregnancy, money and parenting. I am pretty glad this week is now over and it's Monday tomorrow, a fresh start but yet again I have more appointments. I have 3 appointments this coming week instead of my normal 2 and if I am very honest, I am fed up of these appointments. I am glad I am having them as it is to see if baby is doing well. The waiting does it for me. The small waiting rooms are so hot, with no windows {only one tiny one right at the top which is never open}. The wait this week has been 2 and a half hours on the Tuesday and 1 and a half hour on the Friday. Knowing I have to be back at school for the kids and so on, it stresses me out big time. But there isn't long to go now, but when I think of it, I have over 20 appointments to go!

Just Another Linky #56

Week 56!
Hello! I hope you've all had a lovely week. I have some little news. I am finding things pretty hard at the moment, so I am going to take a little step back. The linky will still run as normal on mine and Kirsty's site's. But I am going to cut back on the commenting as I just have no time to comment on so many blog's each week as well as my regular reads and blog threads. I will comment on a few every week to make it fair though. I really hope you all understand and I do hope there will be a couple of weeks where I can comment on all blogs linked up, but I do hope to get back to normal by the end of June. Hospital appointments are draining me out, as well as pregnancy symptoms.

Also! The winners for giveaway are: Mark Palmer and Abigail Edkins. Well done.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

30 Weeks Pregnancy Update

WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING THIS WEEK?
Not much has happened this week other than my usual twice a week appointments at the hospital. Both appointments were very slow and extremely late so I am feeling very drained and exhausted this week. I've struggled to keep on top of the blog but I am trying!

One exciting thing that did happen this was the wonderful post. I received the stunning UPPAbaby Vista pram which I am in love with. I also received the Nomi Highchair from Evomove which I am yet to build up. So excited when it is up though.

HOW I AM FEELING
I have been feeling drained as I said above because of the hospital appointments. My eldest has been a handful this week and it's really stressed me out but that is the joys of parenting isn't it. I have a few thoughts and worries on my mind which I may tell my consultant at my next appointment with her in the middle of June. But at the moment I am going to write everything down.

APPOINTMENTS
I've just had my normal CTG and blood appointments this week. No extras. Next week I have my liver scan on Monday and again, the CTG and bloods Tuesday and just CTG on Friday.

OBSTETRIC CHOLESTASIS
My bloods are really improving. My ALT's are still a little raised but my bile acids are down to 7 which is fantastic! It shows my urso tablets are really helping. I still feel the itch but I shouldn't complain as it is very mild and compared to the girls, this is nothing. So I am happy with that.

HOW THE GIRLS FEEL
The girls are still super excited. Mia felt baby move the other day and I think she was a little confused but she loved it.

BABY BOY
MOVEMENTS - Baby boy moves a lot, especially during late morning and evening. He also moves in the middle of the night when I wake up for being uncomfortable. His movements are getting stronger each week.

SYMPTOMS

- Stomach pains
- Constipation {fun eh!}
- Sore breasts
- Chest pains
- Light headedness
- Tiredness/Loss of energy
- Restless Legs

SLEEPING
I really struggle to get to sleep at night now. I just can never get into that right position!

CRAVINGS
Milky Ways!

WEIGHT JOURNEY
I thought I would add this one back as I only have 10 weeks left until my due date. I started back at Slimming World roughly Jan/Feb time and I have gained 1 stone 6 lbs since. I have missed 2 weeks and in that time I only gained half a pound which I was very happy about.

How I Plan To Get Into Shape After Baby

If you are regular reader of my blog or if you know me in person you may know that I have been on a yo-yo weight loss rollercoaster. I have gained in this pregnancy but I am pleased with the amount I have gained so far. It is much less than what I gained in my other two pregnancies. I am excited to see how much weight will be lost after baby arrives and I do hope it's quite a lot so it motivates me more to lose this weight and baby weight when he arrives.

KiddyUK Evolution Pro 2 Infant Car Seat | My First Thoughts

When you are expecting a new baby there are many things on the list that you need to buy. One of the main things you would need to buy is a car seat, especially if you have a car. There are many car seat brands around these days so it can be pretty hard to decide on the right one for your new arrival. Some car seats are not cheap, so it would be a good idea to buy a car seat that will last a while.

UPPAbaby VISTA 2015 | My First Thoughts

Last week I got an e-mail to say that I can review an UPPAbaby VISTA 2015 Pram. I was so excited and couldn't wait to receive the pram to test it out. One thing I was super excited about was having a carry cot with the pram. I never used a carry cot with the previous prams I had for the girls. I have just under 9 weeks to until Baby boy can help us test out this beautiful pram.

Our Little Love Story #3 | Moving Out and Buying Our First Home

In the previous post about my partner and I, I mentioned that we moved in pretty quickly of us finding out I was expecting my second child. When Elliw was born within the first month we moved out to another private rented property in the village. This house was bigger. We were really struggling in the previous house and it was so small and no way there was enough room for an extra child. It was a big change as the price was much higher monthly, but the house was much bigger and with 3 bedrooms instead of two.

Siblings {May}

It is really mad to think that there is only this month and next month where it is only going to be the two of them. In July their little brother will be joining them and I am super excited to get that first sibling photo, which will probably be taken in the hospital when they visit him for the first time. This month has been full of ups and downs but I do like to concentrate mostly on the ups! It's better that way isn't it.

Bambini & Me Swaddle Review and Giveaway

I am now on single figures counting down the weeks until baby boy arrives. I have nearly got everything ready, all I need to do is paint his nursery, build a few things, sort his clothes out and buy a few extra small things. If you know me personally then you would know that I am a huge fan of elephant prints. Baby boy has a collection of elephant teddies, elephant clothing and a few other things too. I love the colour grey and it is one of the colours that the nursery is going to be.

When I came across Babini & Me, I saw their swaddle collection. I instantly fell in love with them. All their prints are just adorable. My favourite one, of course, is the grey elephant print. That is the print I have reviewed and I really can not wait for baby to arrive and snuggle up in this. The print will also go perfect in his nursery.

This large 100% bamboo swaddle is really soft, perfect for baby's skin. The size also looks perfect for baby, I will be posting a photo on Instagram and on my blog once baby arrives, so keep a look out. There are other ways you could also use this beautiful swaddle, such as using it as a nursing cover, a cover for a changing mat or you could use it as a burp cloth {Tips from the website}.

This beautiful swaddle is just £15 and I honestly think it is worth the price and I can see myself buying one in a couple of months when baby is here. You can check out more of Babmini & Me products here.

Bambini and Me are giving one elephant print swaddle to one lucky reader. If you would like a chance to win this beautiful swaddle all you have to do is read the terms and conditions then enter by using the Rafflecopter below.

Our Little Love Story #2 | Finding Out I Was Pregnant

I really wish I had written a diary back in 2011 so I could remember everything that happened but unfortunately I didn't and I have to just write things I remember. I fell pregnant pretty quickly. If I remember rightly it was within 2 or 3 months of being together. I was on the pill and forgot to take it for 2 or 3 days, silly me thought I'd be fine and didn't think much of it. Little did we know, I started cooking baby #2.

Growth Scan #1 | 29 Weeks Pregnant

I remember a couple of months ago I was told I was going to have a growth scan along with my consultant appointment afterwards around the 29 weeks marks. I couldn't wait and May seemed like such a long time away. But it has now been and I must admit the scan was just amazing. We arrived around 1.45pm, so just a little early for our 2pm appointment. We were called in not long after and I did the usual, lying down on the bed and then the woman put the cold jelly on and there she went to scan me.

Big Yellow Flower

Friday late afternoon my girls arrived home and Mia came straight up to me and said "here is a flower for you! it's a big yellow flower!" How many flowers I have had over the years of being a Mum I honestly can not remember. I am sure all parents can agree with that too. What usually happens is you get given a flower and after getting so used to it, you secretly try and drop it without them noticing or your pocket is just full of daisies or other flowers.

29 Weeks Pregnancy Update

WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING THIS WEEK?
A few things have happened this week. I am absolutely shattered writing this post because of it. I have been in hospital every single day since Tuesday. On Tuesday I had my normal monitoring and bloods, Wednesday I called in the evening with bad chest pains and not feeling myself, Thursday I had my consultant and scan and on Friday I had my normal monitoring appointment and then an appointment later on in the afternoon to take my heart monitor off.

Pregnancy and Blogging

When I found out I was pregnant I had a huge list of what I wanted to write through out my pregnancy. In my first and second pregnancies I never wrote down how I felt each week or anything else, so I really wanted to do something different this time. I do write my weekly pregnancy updates which I am glad I have stuck to since I was 12 weeks pregnant. I have written a few other pregnancy posts too such as my wishlists, how I found out I was pregnant, how I feel about being pregnant, how my girls reacted that they were going to be big sisters, a few posts about the scans such as my gender reveal and so on. But as the weeks or even months are going by this pregnancy is getting more and more uncomfortable, which is making it hard to keep on top of my blog.

The Truths About Pregnancy

Since I started talking about my third pregnancy on this blog, I decided I wanted to be very honest about all the symptoms I was having. Some weeks I did purposely miss some symptoms out just because they were pretty embarrassing. But I have been thinking recently why should a pregnancy symptom be so embarassing? Many of us pregnant women can relate to most symptoms, except those few people who hardly get any!

28 Weeks Pregnancy Update

HOW I AM FEELING
I've not been feeling to bad this week. The side effects of the tablets are getting me down and getting me pretty fed up but otherwise I have been fine and nothing else to complain about! I feel like I have complained so much through this pregnancy. But I just really wanted to write honest weekly updates and just let it out about how I feel. There is no hiding behind a fake smile is there.

This pregnancy isn't the best pregnancy I've had, infact it is one of the worst I have had so far. But I haven't got long left now and we are all super exciting to meet him.

The Second Trimester

I am not sure if I should say that I am glad I am out of the second trimester because in all fariness, even though I have complained and moaned with hormones being all over the place and not feeling 100%, the last week of the second trimester going into the third trimester hasn't been the best. I feel like all my symptoms from the first trimester is coming back! Which isn't good.

Mia's Birth Story

December the 3rd 2009 I had a huge argument with my Mother. She wanted to be my birthing partner but I wanted my Dad. If you read my blog regularly, you might know that I am not close to my Mother at all. December the 4th, I had my consultant appointment. My Dad came with me. I got called in and my consultant did his usual questions such as how was I and so on. He then took my blood pressure. My blood pressure was high and suspected start of pre-eclampsia. He told me because of the liver disorder {Obstetric Cholestasis} and high blood pressure, he wanted me to be induced. Labour ward was full that day so he wanted me to phone in early morning the next day.

May!

I am really hoping for a better month this month. I am now in my third trimester and all my first trimester symptoms have come creeping back, which I wasn't expecting so soon. Hormones are all over the place and it is a little hard looking after two little ones and being pregnant. But as a parent you just take it day by day and move on.

My Sunday Photo
